It all started from one Californian snowboarder and surfer who wanted to practice his skills on the flat sea day during the summer, so he ended up using surfskate as a tool to remain his shape on surfing.

Surfskating: How it all began
Surfskating is different from skate boarding as it requires more movement than the normal skate boarding. You need to use your shoulders and hips to control the board to keep going, which differs from skate boarding that uses the legs to move forward.
